G&L's have won many fans for offering great performance and features along with sensible prices. G&L guitars were the brainchild of Leo Fender and George Fullerton and could be considered new and improved versions of their classic designs. Made in the USA to the highest standards of quality. This S-500 is no exception and sports many features geared towards today's players. The body is ash for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 12 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. A trio of Magnetic Field Design single coils are hooked to a 5 way switch as well as a toggle for a variety of tones. The G&L Fulcrum vibrato and Sperzel locking tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous sunburst for a classic look. A great guitar at a great price!

Like most G&L guitars I've had in stock, this S-500 plays and sounds great. The neck is straight and the frets are good. The pickups sound excellent and the electronics work as they should. A great guitar. Condition wise, this guitar has been played but taken care of. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat wear, moderate belt scratching as well as some indents. Still good looking. Comes in G&L hard case which shows some wear and bruises but is still functional.

G&L guitars have always impressed me thanks to great playability, excellent features and an excellent price. If you are considering buying a new Fender American Series guitar, you owe it to yourself to check out a G&L. A lot of bang for the buck, especially on the used market.
