Hamer is well known among guitar aficionados for building some of the highest quality instruments out there. Excellent workmanship and attention to detail go into every Hamer. Many players prefer them over the bigger brands. This Duotone is no exception. Made in the USA with quality materials. The Duotone successfully melds an electric with an acoustic. The chambered body is made of mahogany and features a solid spruce top. The 24.75 inch scale mahogany neck features a 14.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and dot inlays. Dual Seymour Duncan pickups deliver huge tone. A bridge mounted acoustic pickup offers you a new range of tones. The finish is a gorgeous natural that really showcases the beauty of the wood. A timeless design. If you are in the market for a Gibson or Paul Reed Smith, this Hamer deserves a serious look!

Like most Hamers this guitar plays great and has excellent tone. The neck feels excellent. The action is low, the neck is straight, and the frets are good. The Seymour Duncan pickups sound awesome delivering a variety of tones. The acoustic pickup offers up some interesting tones. Everything works as it should. Condition wise, this is a fine used guitar. The finish shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches. Still a good looking guitar. Comes in original hardshell case.

Hamer has always done impressive work. This Duotone continues that tradition. No longer available in this configuration, your only choice is on the used market. A Gibson or similar brand would sell for twice as much and wouldn't be any better in terms of quality. Great bang for the buck.
