Heritage Guitars has found many fans thanks to traditional craftsmanship and great value. Started by Ex-Gibson employees, Heritage Guitars are built in Kalamzoo, MI in the same factory and by many of the same hands that built ‘Bursts, dot neck 335’s, Korina V’s and reverse Firebirds. They even utilize some of Gibson’s original tooling and equipment! The H-550 is the Heritage version of the classic Gibson ES-350 with some nice tweaks for playability. The body is laminated flame maple with solid maple rims. The wood is nicely flamed and makes for a gorgeous guitar. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with pearl split block inlays. Heritage’s own humbucking pickups dish out killer warm tone and PAF like growl. A fancy trapeze tailpiece, adjustable bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners keep it rock solid. The guitar is finished in an antique sunburst lacquer. Very, very gorgeous. A great guitar and an excellent alternative to a more expensive Gibson.

This Heritage plays and sounds great. The neck is straight, the action is low and the frets are good. The electronics sound excellent and everything works as it should. This is a nice used guitar. It only shows some normal play wear and moderate pick and clearcoat scratches. Comes in original hardshell case.

Many players will tell you they prefer a Heritage over a Gibson for their build quality and attention to detail. Add in the fact that the Heritage guitars are generally more affordable and you have a real winner. Gibson doesn't offer an affordable single Venetian cutaway archtop at an affordable price. The closest you can get is a Florentine cut ES-175 at a whopping $3599.00. This Heritage is an incredible value in comparison. A great Made in the USA instrument.
