A PRS with a Bigsby? Yup, the Starla incorporates classic vintage vibe with PRS quality. Sort of a Gretsch meets SG marriage, the Starla can handle a variety of sounds. Top notch PRS workmanship throughout. The solid mahogany body features cool bevels and contours. The 24.5 inch scale mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Starla Treble and Bass pickups deliver vintage tones. A Bigsby vibrato, Tuneomatic bridge and vintage style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous reddish orange that reminds me of a 50s Gretsch mixed with elements of a faded cherry red SG. Very cool. A very hip guitar that really breaks the mold for PRS.

Like most PRS guitars, this Starla plays and sounds great. The wide fat neck feels great and the action is low. The Starla humbuckers deliver some cool vintage tones. Everything works as it should. This is a super clean guitar. Very little playtime. Recently traded into me after a short time of use, it only shows some very light pick scratches. Super duper nice. Comes in hardshell case.

The PRS Starla shows that a big company can go off the beaten path and still innovate. A great guitar with tons of tone, this instrument will appeal to a variety of players. A new one will cost you $1736.00 at the superstores, if you can find one in stock. This one is priced much lower.
