Click any picture for supersize view!

An updated version of the original Selmer gypsy jazz classic! Designed in conjunction with super picker John Jorgenson, the DG-300 model offers distinctive looks and great tone. Top quality materials throughout. The top is solid spruce while the back is solid, bookmatched, figured Brazilian rosewood.  The sides are also made from this coveted wood. The 25 and 5/8's inch scale length mahogany neck features an ebony fingerboard and oval inlays. An ebony mustache bridge with adjustable center section and gold plated tuners round out the features of this great instrument. The graceful cutaway body features a natural finish with an aged toner for a vintage look. Tortoise shell binding, rosette and tailpiece insert adorn the body. All hardware is gold plated for an upscale look. This guitar's looks are matched by its tone and quality. One of the nicest affordable Django style guitars I've seen, the John Jorgenson model is a definite classic!

This Gitane plays great and has excellent tone. The substantial U shaped neck is comfortable and the long scale adds definition to you sound. The tone is cutting with great bark and chop. A nice guitar for gypsy jazz but also excels at other styles. Condition wise, this one is super clean. Light clearcoat scratches but practically new old stock condition. As nice or nicer than many hanging new in stores. Comes in original hardshell case.

This instrument compares favorably to many boutique builder's excellent gypsy jazz guitar. I've owned a few of these expensive instruments and can confidently state that the John Jorgenson model competes head to head at a lower price. Excellent quality and great workmanship. A new one will cost you $1225.00 in stores. This one is clean, ready to go and priced much lower.
