Have you always lusted for a Gretsch? A ton of folks have been recently won over by these great sounding and playing guitars. The cool vibe doesn't hurt! The Duo Jet is one of my favorite models. Shaped sorta like a Les Paul, Gretsch always called it a solid body. That's a bit of a mistake as the mahogany body is actually routed out making it sort of a semi-solid. Coupled with the arched laminated maple tops, the Jets have a really distinct, lively tone. The routing also give the Jet lighter weight. The 24.6 inch scale one piece mahogany neck has a 12 inch radius ebony board inlayed with cool hump blocks markers. Dual high Sensitive Filtertron pickups deliver tones from sparkling clean to barking dirty. While these pickups are humbuckers, they don't have the muddy nature of many other humbucking pickups. Clear with a nice ringing tone and a strong upper midrange. Tuners are Gretsch branded sealed units, the bridge is a Tuneomatic on a wood base and the tailpiece is the famous BIGSBY VIBRATO. A very hip instrument. This is truly a pro level guitar. Why not be different and buy a Gretsch?

This is a fine playing Gretsch with a nice straight neck and good frets. The pickups sound great and all electronics work fine. Condition wise this is a solid used guitar for a player. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches as well as moderate belt wear. Some indents and finish wear on the edges. Cool pin up girl sticker on the back. Should come off easily.. A solid used guitar but not for a collector type. Comes in original hardshell case.

I've been a longtime Gretsch fan. Gretsch guitars have always been a great alternative to other brands and easily stand on their own in terms of looks, tone and feel. A Duo Jet is an excellent choice for almost any style of playing. You can get one of these new at the online retailers for a whopping 2050.00! Wow, my price is much, much lower.
