Chafin Guitars has been building steam in recent years as one of the finest boutique builders in the US. Based in Florida, Ben Chafin was once Dean USA's senior Custom Shop luthier. These years of experience for one of the big guitar companies means great attention to detail and quality. All of Chafin's guitars are built in the USA using top notch materials and hand craftsmanship. You can read more about Ben Chafin's great instruments here or read reviews here.  If you are a fan of high end builders like PRS, McInturff, Suhr, Hamer or Warrior, Chafin Guitars are worth some serious consideration.

A NAMM show guitar! This Targa was displayed at 2009 Summer NAMM and like most NAMM instruments is the cream of the crop. NAMM is where builders show off their best work and this is no exception. Excellent specs throughout. The body is genuine black korina and features a gorgeous AAA flame maple top. The 25.5 inch scale quartersawn maple neck features an Indian rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays. A trio of Dean Hot Vintage single coils are hooked to a volume and tone with special push pull switching. Chafin routed the bridge position reversed ala Hendrix for the distinctive tone and looks this combo over. Sperzel locking tuners and a Hipshot trem keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous root beer color that really accentuates the beauty of the wood. An incredible looking and sounding guitar!

This Chafin plays and sounds great. Nice feel and excellent tone. The beefy neck feels great and plays well. The pickups deliver a variety of classic vintage tones. A really nice guitar. Condition wise, this guitar is super clean. Never sold to the public it was leftover dealer stock and shows hardly any playtime. Comes in a lightweight Dean case.

If you love handmade guitars but are a bit tired of the run of the mill PRS clones, this guitar could be for you. Great quality, incredible looks, and nice tone. A great guitar for a variety of different musical styles. New, this guitar would cost bug bucks and would be even more expensive if it said "Paul Reed Smith" on the headstock. Amazing bang for the buck in a handmade, USA built guitar!

SOLD!
