G&L's have won many fans for offering great performance and features along with sensible prices. G&L guitars were the brainchild of Leo Fender and George Fullerton and could be considered new and improved versions of their classic designs. Made in the USA to the highest standards of quality. Here's a cool ASAT that's heavy on vibe and tone. Circa 1995-ish thanks to its 3 bolt neck and G04xxxx serial number. The body is ash for killer tone. Dual MFD pickups dish out big, big, big single coil tone. G&L's top notch saddle lock bridge and Sperzel tuners keep it rock solid. The pickguard looks to have been upgraded as evidenced by the one unfilled screw hole. The finish is a cool orange natural burst and is set off by black crinkle hardware. A cool G&L!

Like most G&L guitars I've had in stock, this ASAT plays and sounds great. The neck is straight and the frets show some wear but play fine. The pickups sound excellent and the electronics work as they should. A great guitar. Condition wise, this guitar would be great for a player. Definitely not a collector piece. Moderate pick, clearcoat and belt scratches as well as some dents and dings. Normal finish cracks around the neck pocket as many bolt on neck guitars have. Nothing major. Some touch up paint on the pickguard and control plate. Comes in an aftermarket semi cheezy hardshell case with a busted latch.

G&L guitars have always impressed me thanks to great playability, excellent features and an excellent price. If you are considering buying a Fender American Series guitar, you owe it to yourself to check out a G&L. A lot of bang for the buck, especially on the used market. You can't find a new one like this one and even if you could, expect a price well over a grand.
