The old battle axe! Many folks don't know that Ovation made some really cool electric guitars in the 70s. The Breadwinner was perhaps the most distinctive with its crazy body shape and active electronics. Many players love these guitars for their distinctive looks, ergonomic feel, and cool tones. Made in the USA, the Breadwinner is a quality instrument. The unique body is made of mahogany for big tone. The 24.75 inch scale mahogany neck features an ebony fingerboard with dot inlays. Dual active humbuckers are hooked to a unique mid switch for a variety of tones. Bright and clear, these pickups deliver a variety of tones. Ovations own bridge and Ovation branded tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is the original textured black and is set off by chrome hardware. I can remember seeing David Cassady and Glen Campbell playing these when I was a kid. Even Tom Morello has one now! Be unique!

This Ovation plays great and sounds very cool. The neck is slim and the action is good. The active electronics offer a wide variety of tones. Everything works as it should. A very cool used guitar. This one has been pretty well taken care of. It shows some light scratches on the body and light to medium scratches on the pickguard. Normal playwear and a few indents are about it. A nice example. Comes in an oversized gigbag.

The Breadwinner is one of the 70s most distinctive designs. Unmistakable for just about anything else, these guitars define cool. Great performers too thanks to some hip tones and great feel. Be different.
