There's nothing quite like a Ric bass. The 4001 is known for its distinctive tone and unique looks. This example is even hipper being a factory fretless! How cool is that?!? Made in the USA to Ric's usual standards of quality. The neck through body is maple with maple wings for great tone and sustain. The bound fingerboard is lacquered rosewood and features side dots for every position. The pickups have been upgraded to a set of Bartolinis for big tone. An upgrade brass bridge and vintage tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is Ric's famous Mapleglo natural lacquer and is set off by an upgraded tortoise pickguard. Original pots and factory markings under the hood. A really cool bass with a ton of tones.

This Ric sounds cool and plays fine. The neck is comfortable and the action is nice. The pickups sound good and deliver smooth, warm tone. Factory Ric-o-Sound model as well. A really cool fretless. Condition wise, this bass is in decent shape. The changes put it squarely in player territory. It shows moderate pick, clearcoat and belt wear. A few dents, dings and normal playwear. No breaks or repairs. A solid used bass. Comes in a hardshell case.

Fretless Ric basses are definitely less common than their fretted counterparts. This is a cool bass that's priced right and ready to go for the player. This one may be your best chance to grab one. Don't let it slip away.
