The Ibanez Artist has long been the choice of players looking for an alternative to a Les Paul at a great price. Top notch Japanese quality and workmanship throughout. This AR30 is a seldom seen model with some cool features. Double cutaway Japanese ash body. The maple neck features a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard. It's actually a neck through design as opposed to a set neck. Dual Super 70 pickups deliver killer tone. A factory coil tap and phase switch add versatility. A Tuneomatic bridge and Quick Change stop tailpiece keep everything solid. Gold Velvet Touch tuners with chrome buttons. Not sure if these are original to the guitar but I'll assume they aren't. This example is finished in sunburst. Not a common model and if you see them, they are usually black. A very hip instrument for not a lot of bucks!

Like most Japanese guitars of the era, this guitar plays and sounds good. Nice feeling neck with low action. The pickups sound great and electronics work as they should. This would be a great guitar for a player. Not clean enough for a collector as this one has been played. Shows belt buckle wear on the back. Normal pick and clearcoat scratches, dents, dings and wear and tear. Comes in original hardshell case which is a bit beat.

If you’re looking for a great guitar for the buck, an Ibanez Artist may be right up your alley. Cool looks, killer tones and nice feel. I’ve watched as they have become collectible over the years. Why buy a new guitar when you can find such a cool vintage one?
