ESP’s LTD series has really impressed me thanks to its awesome quality and excellent value. The EC-400 is no exception, offering features usually found on much more expensive guitars. The famous single cutaway body is mahogany for warm tone. The 24.75 inch scale 3 piece mahogany set neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 24 extra jumbo frets and pearloid flag inlays. EMG 81 active pickups deliver big sound. An Earvana nut means accurate intonation down the neck. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners keep it rock solid. The guitar is finished in a cool vintage sunburst that blends nicely with the black hardware. A really, really cool guitar. If you are looking at an Epiphone Les Paul, Schecter or other mid priced axe, this LTD deserves a look!

The LTD Series was designed to rock and this guitar doesn’t disappoint. The thin U Shaped neck and big frets are a shredder’s delight. Nice setup and feel. The EMG pickups are powerful and deliver excellent crunch. Condition wise, this one would be good for a player. It shows light to moderate pick, clearcoat and belt scratches as well as some indents and dings. Nothing too bad. Comes in a used, oversized but still functional Epiphone hardshell case.

You can’t beat an LTD for bang for the buck. These are seriously nice guitars that many players prefer over more expensive (i.e. Gibson) instruments. Nice features like EMG pickups make these huge performers at this price range. LTD no longer offers this model. They were around $600 when new. Here's a nice used one for less.
