The Gretsch Country Club has always been one of my favorite models. Second only to the White Falcon in the old days, the Country Club offered traditional jazz guitar looks and tone. This example is ready for almost anything you can throw at it: jazz, blues, country, rockabilly, you name it. A great guitar. The body is laminated maple with a solid spruce top for good tone and projection. The 2 piece maple neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with thumbprint inlays. Dual Filtertron pickups dish out big tone. A Bigsby vibrato, Gretsch Space Control bridge and Grover Imperial tuners keep it rock solid. Finished in legendary Cadillac Green and set off by gold hardware, this Country Club is dressed to impress. All appointments are top of the line and include multiple binding and gold plated hardware.

Like most recent Gretsch guitars I've had in stock, this Country Club plays and sounds great. The neck is straight, the action is good and the frets are fine. the pickups deliver a variety of tones. Everything works as it should. This is a nice used guitar. It shows light pick, clearcoat and belt scratches as well as some normal gold hardware fade. A nice example. Comes in original hardshell case with a pile of case candy.

This is a great addition to your guitar arsenal. It offers a lot for both players that already have a Gretsch as well as folks looking for their first trip into that great Gretsch sound. The solid spruce top gives this instrument a classy, smooth voice you would be hard pressed to find in this price range. A new one will cost you $2700 at the superstores. Save big in this nice used example.
