A killer G&L in a rare color! G&L guitars were the brainchild of Leo Fender and George Fullerton and could be considered new and improved versions of their classic designs. Made in the USA to the highest standards of quality. This S-500 is no exception and sports many features geared towards today's players. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 12 inch radius maple fingerboard with 22 frets. The neck features G&L's cool ambered look.  A trio of Magnetic Field Design single coils are hooked to a 5 way switch as well as a toggle for a variety of tones. The G&L Fulcrum vibrato and Sperzel locking tuners keep it rock solid. The Shoreline Gold finish (actually a dark silver, but if you've ever seen the Fender version of this color, it's similar) was special ordered on this guitar. Very rare. A great guitar at a great price!

Like most G&L guitars I've had in stock, this S-500 plays and sounds great. The neck is straight and the frets are good. The pickups sound excellent and the electronics work as they should. A great guitar. This is a nice used guitar. Very clean, it shows little signs of use. Some light scratches and a few clearcoat indents are it. As nice or nicer than many hanging as new in stores. Comes in original hardshell case.

G&L guitars have always impressed me thanks to great playability, excellent features and an excellent price. If you are considering buying a new Fender American Series guitar, you owe it to yourself to check out a G&L. A lot of bang for the buck, especially on the used market.
