There's just no cooler guitar than a Silver Jet! Just ask Billy Zoom or any Gretsch collector that lusts for one of these beauties. The entire top is covered in a sparkle silver material like you would see on a vintage drum set. Crazy big metal flakes make for an incredible look on stage. Not just for looks though, the Silver Jet is made to perform. The mahogany body is routed with special tone chambers for added resonance. Coupled with the arched laminated maple tops, the Jets have a really distinct, lively tone. The 24.6 inch scale mahogany neck has a 12 inch radius rosewood fingerboard board inlayed with cool humpblock position markers. Dual Filtertron pickups dish out killer Hi FI tones with nice snap. A G cutout tailpiece, original Adjustomatic bridge and sealed tuners keep it rock solid. This twenty two year old beauty is from the first year of the modern Gretsch company. Very cool and a neat piece of history!

This Gretsch plays and sounds great. The neck is straight, the action is good and the frets are fine. The pickups deliver great tones and the electronics work as they should. Condition wise, it's a fine twenty two year old instrument. It shows light to moderate pick, clearcoat and belt wear as well as some indents and dings. Comes in original hardshell case with a pile of original case candy.

The Gretsch Silver Jet is one of the coolest stage guitars you can have in your arsenal. Cool looks and killer tones. A new 57 Reissue Silver Jet is $2300 in the super stores. Here's a cool 22 year old example for a lot less!
