I’ve been really excited to try out the Big Al Bass! I can’t help but dig the crazy body shape. I’m quite impressed with this bass. Cool futuristic look and awesome Musicman tone! Top notch quality throughout. The body is made of alder for good tone. The maple neck features a 34 inch scale and an 11 inch radius maple fingerboard. A trio of Neodymium magnet pickups are hooked to some innovative electronics. You can play it in passive mode with a traditional tone control or go to active electronics with a 4 band EQ. Triple push buttons offer every pickup combo. Schaller BM tuners team up with a Musicman bridge for great tones. This example is finished in vintage sunburst and looks great. An incredible bass for the progressive player. Click HERE for a cool video review!

I’ve always loved the tone and feel of a Musicman bass. The Big Al is no exception. The neck is straight, the frets are fine and the action is good. The pickups and electronics sound and work great. Tons of tones. This is a solid used bass. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches and a few indents and dings. Normal playwear. Comes in original hardshell case which has a minor crack. Still functional.

The Big Al bass represents advanced design and features in a cool looking package. Truly a modern classic! A new one will cost you $1800 stores. Why not buy a used one for a lot less?
