Gretsch fans have long been clamoring for an affordable alternative to the pricey Professional series. The Electromatic series has been the answer to the budget minded player’s prayers. Cool Gretsch looks, nice quality and good features for a low price. This Electromatic Pro Jet is no exception. Based on the famous Duo Jet, this one is ready to rock. The chambered mahogany body and laminated maple top make for an excellent combination. The set mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with humpblock fingerboard inlays. Dual Blacktop Filtertrons deliver cool tones. A licensed Bigsby vibrato, Adjustomatic bridge and Kluson style tuners complete the picture. Cool features include Gretsch screw on strap buttons and G Arrow knobs. The finish is a very cool gold sparkle set off by chrome hardware and a pearloid pickguard. A really great guitar for the bucks.

It’s amazing how much guitar you can get for the money these days. This Pro Jet plays well and has a straight neck. The pickups work and sound great. This is a very clean used guitar. Recently bought new and traded into my shop, it has seen little playtime. Light pick and clearcoat scratches and very light playwear are about it. Comes in a gigbag.

Gretsch has come a long way in the past few years introducing both vintage correct models as well as guitars that appeal to a whole new group of fans. The Pro Jet is one of the best values out there. A new one will set you back $700 in stores. Here's a used one for less.
