Looking for a nice jazz box? Like other Ibanez guitars of the era, this 1976 2464NT shows great attention to detail, excellent quality and killer performance. Made in Japan as were the best Ibanez guitars of this period.  As nice or nicer than many higher priced Gibson Byrdlands from this same period! Great quality and specs throughout. The thinline hollow body features a spruce top and gorgeous flame maple back and sides.  The short scale laminated maple neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays. Dual Ibanez humbuckers deliver smooth tone.  Stock Ibanez Sealfast style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous natural and is set off by gold hardware and tons of inlay and binding. A top notch, super quality Japanese archtop!

This is a nice playing and sounding archtop. The neck is straight, the action is good and the frets are fine. The pickups sound good. Condition wise, this guitar shows wear you would expect for its age. Moderate pick, clearcoat, and belt scratches as well as some chips, dents, and dings. Nothing out of the ordinary for a 70s guitar. The hardware shows some corrosion. Comes in original hardshell case with cool case candy.

This is a great guitar for a player that wants the look and tone of a Gibson Byrdland but without the outrageous price. Many folks would argue that this Ibanez will meet or exceed many 70s Gibsons in tone and quality. A new blonde Gibson Byrdland would cost you $7399 in the superstores. That's an absolutely outrageous amount of cash. Here's a great guitar for a lot less.
