You can't beat a D-28. Martin's venerable dreadnaught has become the standard by which all other acoustics are judged. The top is spruce while the back and sides are big voice. The body is bound for an upscale look. The 25.4 inch scale mahogany neck features an ebony fingerboard with dot inlays.  A rosewood bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners complete the picture. The finish is a gorgeous natural gloss set off by a black pickguard. An incredible guitar!

This D-28 plays and sounds good. Good action and feel. The neck is straight and the frets are good. Frets look to have been dressed down over the years. This is a solid D28 that has many of the usual 70s Martin issues corrected. The pickguard has shrunk some but appears stable now. There's a repaired crack on the top from the shrinking guard. The bridge plate has been cleaned up and is in good shape. The bridge pins have been upgraded. The guitar shows a lot of honest wear. Dents, dings, scratches and finish wear. It looks very cool. The guitar had an end pin jack but now has a regular strap button. The endpiece wedge has popped up a bit in that area but is stable. A good workhorse guitar. Comes in a newer Martin hardshell case.

The D-28 is a legend. This example has an honest, authentic look from years of use. It could be your workhorse guitar too.
