Over the top and super deluxe! This Penguin represents the best of the Gretsch line. Super expensive in their day, original White Penguins are rare and coveted by players and collectors. All of the Penguin trademarks are there. The single cutaway, semi hollow body is made of chambered mahogany with an arched laminated maple top. The mahogany neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with inscribed block inlays. Gold sparkle binding adorns this instrument adding to its deluxe looks. Dual Dearmond Dynasonic pickups offer a variety of tones. The famous Cadillac tailpiece, Grover Imperial tuners and a Gretsch Melita bridge keep it rock solid. The finish is gorgeous white set off by gold hardware. An incredible looking instrument that will delight many players and collectors.

This Penguin plays well and sounds nice. The neck is straight, the action is good and the frets are fine. The pickups sound great and the electronics work as they should. A very cool Gretsch. This is a nice used guitar showing normal wear. Well taken care of, it shows light pick and clearcoat scratches, some light indents and light fading on the gold plating. A good looking example. Comes in original hardshell case with some case candy.

It doesn't get much crazier than a Penguin. As deluxe as it gets and the crown jewel of the Gretsch lineup. You will be seen as well as heard sporting this guitar. $3050 at the superstores, here's a cool one for less.
