One of the most popular guitars of the British Invasion! Famously used by George Harrison, this one has the tone of sine if the most famous recording in the world! The 6119 was Gretsch's most popular sellers in the 60s. If you have played an original, you know the quality and playability can be hit or miss. The newest reissues are great playing and sounding guitars with nice craftsmanship. Built in Japan, these instruments are well regarded by players for their attention to detail and accuracy. The hollow Electrotone body is made of laminated maple and features simulated F holes. The 24.6 inch scale laminated maple neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with thumbprint inlays. Dual Hilo-Tron single coils dish out cool vintage tone. Grover Sta-Tite tuners, a bar bridge and a Bigsby vibrato round out the hardware. The finish is classic walnut and is set off by chrome hardware. A great recreation of the classic 1962 Tennessean!

This Gretsch plays and sounds great. The frets are good, the neck is straight and the action is good. The Hilo-Tron pickups deliver clear vintage tone. A really cool guitar for vintage tones. This is a nice used guitar in VG-EX condition. It has seen some normal use and shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches and some light indents. All in all, a good looking example. Comes in a Gretsch hardshell case.

The Gretsch Tennessean is a classic guitar. The Tennessee Rose reissue captures the best elements of the original and delivers a well crafted instrument at a great price. A top notch instrument. A new one will cost you $2324 at the superstores. Here's one for a lot less.
