2002 Gretsch 6120 1957 Reissue Duane Eddy! SOLD!

Here's a wild and rare Gretsch! This is basically a leftover Duane Eddy signature model that Gretsch re-labeled as a 6120-1957 after their contract ended. Duane Eddy signature models are fairly rare. I've only seen a handful of these. All of the specs are classic 6120. The hollow body is laminated maple for classic tone. The 2 piece maple neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with humpblock inlays. Dual Dynasonic pickups deliver vintage tone. Gretsch sealed tuners and a bar bridge keep it rock solid while a Bigsby B-6 vibrato tailpiece with Duane Eddy arm allows twangy wiggles. The finish is a very cool transparent black, only available on the Duane Eddy models. A very unique 6120!

This 6120 plays great with good action and nice feel. The frets show some light wear and the neck is straight. The Dynasonic pickups sound awesome and offer tons of vintage tone. The pickup selector switch has been upgraded and the wiring was modded to a simple master volume and master tone setup. A great guitar. This is a solid used guitar in VG-EX condition. It has seen some regular use but was not abused. It shows light to moderate pick, clearcoat, and belt scratches, some light indents, and some light corrosion on the hardware. All in all, a good looking example. Comes in a Gretsch hardshell case.

The 6120 is an acknowledged classic in the guitar world. One of the most pleasing designs of the 50s. Here's a great tribute to an icon of twangy guitar.
