Budget super shredder! I’ve seen a lot more interest recently in late 80s/early 90s Japanese built Charvel guitars. Players are figuring out that these instruments offer great quality, hard to find features and a great price. This CX291 s a great entry level Strat. A full sized basswood Strat shaped body contribute to the big time sustain. The 25.5” scale maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets so you can reach all the notes. A trio of Jackson single coils deliver tons of tones. A vintage style trem and Gotoh tuners make for a reliable package. The finish is classic black. If you’re a rocker looking for an affordable basic instrument, this Charvel merits some attention.

Like many guitars of this era, this Charvel features a slim comfy neck and good feel. The flat radius makes for easy bends. The frets are good and the neck is straight. Condition wise, this one shows average wear and is in VG shape. Moderate pick, clearcoat, and belt scratches as well as some indents and dings. A solid used example. Comes in a gigbag.

This is a nice, affordable take on a classic. Charvel is a great brand with incredible history. Here’s a great basic Start style for the bucks.
