Gibson's ES-330 has found new popularity in recent years as players discover how great these guitars sound. Basically an ES-335 shape without a sustain block, these guitar pack loads of vintage punch thanks to dual P-90 pickups. Many folks were introduced to the ES-330 by its near identical cousin, the Epiphone Casino. From blues to rock to Beatle style pop, these guitars do it all. Gibson has recently reissued the ES-330. A fully hollow laminated maple body delivers great tone. The mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Dual P-90s dish out great tone. Kluson tuners, a trapeze tailpiece and Tuneomatic bridge mean rock solid performance. The whole package is finished in blonde lacquer and dressed up with full binding and a laminated multi layer pickguard. The finish has the vibe of Gibsons VOS treatment with a nice aged look right from the factory. Made in the Memphis Custom Shop to the highest levels of quality. A great hollowbody with killer bite and vibe!
This is a great sounding hollowbody with good tone and feel. The 59 neck is straight, the action is good and the frets are fine. The pickups have tons of sparkle and growl. Everything works as it should. Condition wise, this is a nice used guitar. It shows light pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some light indents. It came from the factory with a VOS-like aged patina. The little acorn for the pickguard bracket is MIA. Comes in original hardshell case with no cert.
Lots of folks really dig the vibe and tone of a vintage ES-330. They have long been one of the best bang for the buck deals out there. Great vintage tone and vibe. This Custom Shop example is no exception. A killer guitar for the bucks.
