Gibson’s Les Paul Standard is a dream guitar for many folks. A classic combo of looks, tone and craftsmanship. Here's a cool example from a period that is regarded by many as a good point in Gibson’s quality ups and downs. Classic Les Paul specs. The mahogany body adds warmth while the carved, figured maple top adds brightness and beauty. The 1 piece mahogany slim taper shape neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Factory Gibson pickups dish out classic tone with increased bite and midrange. A Stopbar tailpiece, Kluson style tuners, and Tuneomatic bridge keep it rock solid. This example is finished in a classic cherry sunburst. Accept no substitutes, own a real Les Paul!
This Les Paul has nice tone and good feel. The pickups sound great and the slim to medium neck is easy to play. Everything works as it should. 9.5 lbs. This is a nice example in VG-EX condition. In pretty nice overall condition for its age. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some light indents. There’s a little stand rash on the headstock ers and an impression on the back of the headstock near the serial number that I assume is from a clip on capo or something similar. Nothing major. Comes in a newer hardshell case.
Here’s a nice example of your typical Les Paul. Big sound and good feel. A great guitar.
